Position: ECE Teachers and School Age Teachers

Job Summary:  Assists with the coordination of the center’s activities to ensure safety, foster learning and encourage the development of positive self-images by performing the following duties

Duties and Responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.
Applies knowledge of early childhood education, development concepts and principles within the goals and philosophy of the daycare center. Monitors and observes the daily activities of the children attending the center. This includes ensuring the safety and cleanliness of the children.

Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Employee must be enrolled in an Associates college level in early child care, early child development or early child education program or have a CDA Certification.

Specialized Training:
CPR training and fire safety training
NSO and Mandating Reporting must be completed within 30 days of hire
Training as required by state agencies and Keystone Stars Program
Learning Standards
Childcare Health & Safety Training
